Capitol Reef National Park

After leaving Goblin Valley for the day we decided to disperse camp near the park in a spot we’d seen the day before and then head out to Capitol Reef in the morning. We had dinner and spent a couple hours playing Machi Korro legacy before Tim headed to bed and I went out toContinue reading “Capitol Reef National Park”

Goosenecks State Park

After leaving Canyonlands for the day, we headed into the town of Moab for some late lunch and ended up having dinner there too. This left it very late for us to head out to drive south to our next stop of Goosenecks. We had intended on boondocking somewhere but it was dark and weContinue reading “Goosenecks State Park”

Canyonlands National Park

Arches National Park

After spending a day relaxing at our campsite on BLM Road 141, we woke up early and headed out before sunrise to Arches National Park. Our first park of the trip was the one we perhaps knew the most about and it lived up to its hype. We headed out early, before the sun hadContinue reading “Arches National Park”

Dispersed Camping at Klondike Bluffs

After driving over 1000 miles we figured we were due a day off, so that’s exactly what we (kind of) gave ourselves. We arrived into the area late in the afternoon and after getting setup and having dinner we watched the sunset and then get out the fire pit to watch the stars. The nextContinue reading “Dispersed Camping at Klondike Bluffs”

Driving on the Bonneville Salt Flats!

The third day of our trip was the first one we got to do something other than drive all day. After a quiet night at our Harvest Host, Snyder Winery, we got up and drove a couple hours through Nevada into Utah. Just inside the border of Utah we turned off I-80 and arrived atContinue reading “Driving on the Bonneville Salt Flats!”

Driving to Utah

To start our 4500 mile roadtrip to Utah & California, we had to first get to Utah from Seattle, Washington. This involved two long days of driving almost 8 hours each day. Day one we made it to La Grande, Oregon where we spent the night at Fox Hill Campground, a dispersed campground within theContinue reading “Driving to Utah”
